@Francis,
What I love about Diana, Francis, is that she does the jazz ballads with which I am familiar. Incidentally, I understand that Le Rock is back in vogue in France.

What do you think of this one?

@Letty,
Nothing, Miss Letty, I'm not a rock person.

I'm more a jazz one..

Here is Ray Stevens, not being funny today.
Good morning everyone. It's cold but nice out this AM. Had fried eggs and taquitos for breakfast, with coffee and supplements. Now I'm fortified and alert.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Ray has a fantastic voice, and that one really moved. To think, folks, that a mint julep is simply raw burbon over shaved ice with a piece of mint stuck in it to make it seem cool. Thanks, Texas.

Well, today is Lisa Bonet's birthday. Remember her in Angel Heart? She has something to say about love in a very serious vein.

@Letty,
Lisa has it all - beauty, talent, fans. --

@edgarblythe,
Hmmm, folks. Seems that Sinatra was too indiscreet as our edgar forgot to play. Razz

Love this one by Frank and Celine, however

@Letty,
I think her voice is lovely - actually better than the material.

I have here a Korean song, with subtitles.

@edgarblythe,
While our edgar looks for the Korean song, folks, I find that it is time for me to say goodnight.

How about a couple of jazz guys doing classical, and since it is Sunday, one by Cardinal Newman.

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.

edgar, that kiss song was fantastic. I found the one done in English, but I am now fascinated with the story behind the music. Thanks, Texas.

honu, welcome back. We've missed you here. What a fantastic voice Chet possessed, and I love that song. How very tragic was the life of that talented jazz trumpeteer, bigislandman.

Today is Gordon Lightfoot's birthday, so let's hear one by him.

It is actually cold here in my little studio, and I turned on the heat.

Here is a brassy little song. If you are not awake before listening, you will be. It's my way of saying, "Aw, crap. It's Monday already."

@edgarblythe,
Love that parody, edgar. What a wonderful Jewish version of Davy Crockett. Thanks, and yes, I'm afraid it's Monday again.

Today is Jeff Buckley's birthday, and what a sad ending to his life, folks.

It was ruled an accidental drowning, incidentally.
