@Raggedyaggie,
Wow! that Eagles' song was fantastic, Raggedy. It was history in song at The Sad Cafe. Thanks, gal.

Did not see Midnight Express, puppy. Need to do more research on that one, methinks.

Don't know what happened to our Cosmic Eagle, but we'll send this Eagle song to him and Antonio Banderas.

@edgarblythe,
Great song, Texas. Love Lionel Richie.

Hey, folks, we can't forget The March King. How about a rousing one by him on his birthday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDehMFU_wXk&feature=related

and the lyrics by John Phillip

Hurrah for the flag of the free!
May it wave as our standard forever,
The gem of the land and the sea,
The banner of the right.
Let despots remember the day
When our fathers with mighty endeavor
Proclaimed as they marched to the fray
That by their might and by their right
It waves forever.

@edgarblythe,
My, my, edgar. Are you saying that Donovan had a crush on a model? Razz It was a neat song, Texas. Time for me to say goodnight, and I have been doing a bit of research today, and reading the stuff on our forum. I noticed that there is a tropical storm brewing and it may develop into a hurricane.

It seems that they have named it paloma. Who would call a potential hurricane by a dove's name.

So, here is the lovely song La Paloma, folks.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, Lady Jane was an interesting song. I recall their having been a Lady Jane on our forum. Wonder where she went?

Well, it seems that today is the birthday of Jon Peter Lewis. Don't know him, but this is a nice morning song.

@edgarblythe,
A winters day
In a deep and dark december;
I am alone,
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
Ive built walls,
A fortress deep and mighty,
That none may penetrate.
I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain.
Its laughter and its loving I disdain.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

Dont talk of love,
But Ive heard the words before;
Its sleeping in my memory.
I wont disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

I have my books
And my poetry to protect me;
I am shielded in my armor,
Hiding in my room, safe within my womb.
I touch no one and no one touches me.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries.

@husker,
husker, welcome back. What a nice surprise, and I think we all know Paul Simon's famous rock.

Remember this one?

@Raggedyaggie,
Ah, folks, there's our puppy with her fabulous faces and info about other notables. Thanks PA, and I know them all. Love, Joni, of course.

Here's an unusual tribute to Marie Curie, y'all.

@Izzie,
Love that song, Izzie. I try to make someone happy every day starting with myself.

My son is still on the ventilator, but my daughter is searching for a place that can wean him off it.

Here's a nice one, folks.

Well, folks, it was great to see our JPB is fine and played Nola on the Mooseman's thread.

Can't forget a tribute to Al Hirt, folks, so here's a great one:

Good morning, WA2K folks. UhOh! Paloma is now a cat 4 hurricane and headed for Cuba. Perhaps, since it is Diana King's birthday, we need to hear a little prayer from her.

@Raggedyaggie,
Well, folks, edgar is on his way to Dallas and the puppy just padded in with pictures. Thanks, PA. what a coincidence. Both Bonnie Raitt and Patti Page did The Tennessee Waltz. (just heard from my daughter; will know more later)

Couldn't find Patti's, so here is a duo of that waltz .
