Thanks, blue one, for the quartet of famous faces and the additional information on others. Ah, Coleridge. What an interesting poet, y'all. Maybe PA was inspired by "..the silly buckets on the deck that had so long remained; I dreamt that they were filled with dew and when I woke, it rained."

edgar, say hello to Tammy for us. What an interesting family they all turned out to be. Carrie and Eddie and Debbie, and Liz. If that foursome had more alliteration, I would have liked it better. Razz

Love this one, folks, and although I don't particularly care for Tom Cruise, the movie featured Japanese actors who were fantastic, and among them our Celeb of the day.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I think he is great, edgar. He resembles Johnny as well.

Well, this next song is a fun song. I once asked wandel if Gus had run off with Stray Cat, and the next thing I know he is bemoaning the death of his cat named Wench. We never know when that fellow is joking or being serious. Sorta reminds me of Mark Twain.

Regardless, y'all, here's is one for the strays and the ones who search garbage cans in the alley.

@alex240101,
Alex, that was hilarious, and for once we can hear a bagpipe player that didn't do Amazing Grace. Razz

I think I recognized most of those partial songs. First there was Star Wars, then "You don't have to worry; cause you got no money" (I think) Then, a classical song that went so quick, I couldn't recall it. Finally, of course, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"

Thanks, buddy, for the evening smile.

Let's proceed with Xanadu. I think this song refers to the opulence of kings and things. (sound familiar?)

@edgarblythe,
I love Hair as well, edgar. Thanks, Texas.

Well, I discovered that the classical bit from Alex's bagpipe man was Fur Elise, but "You Don't Have to Worry; 'Cause you got no money." will allude me until I hit a AHA moment.

Time for me to say good night, and here is a lovely ballad by the Bill Evans trio, replete with lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxRIBrn9g-U&feature=related

A country dance was being held in a garden
I felt a bump and heard an "Oh, beg your pardon"
Suddenly I saw polka dots and moonbeams
All around a pug-nosed dream

The music started and was I the perplexed one
I held my breath and said "May I have the next one?"
In my frightened arms, polka dots and moonbeams
Sparkled on a pug-nosed dream

There were questions in the eyes of other dancers
As we floated over the floor
There were questions but my heart knew all the answers
And perhaps a few things more

Now in a cottage built of lilacs and laughter
I know the meaning of the words "Ever after"
And I'll always see polka dots and moonbeams
When I kiss the pug-nosed dream

Goodnight, all.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, that song by Sam Cook was great. Did not know that he sang about that wind, Texas. Thanks, buddy.

Welcome back, Rocky. Bill Evans is an awesome jazz man, and I particularly like the acoustic bass solo.

Well, folks, today is Jeff Goldblum's birthday, and what a surprise to find out that he is a musician, and a great one as well. Here's a neat song by him.

@Raggedyaggie,
Good morning, PA. I certainly did NOT know that Jeff was a local boy. Thanks for that wonderful song. Know it, but had not heard that version by a Belgian guy.

Your famous quintet was great, indigo puppy, and I always learn somethin new from your added info.

I had a video featuring some clips from the life of Daphne Du Maurier as featured in a movie about her life. WOW! Decided on this English project instead. Don't know about you teachers in our radio audience, but this one would have gotten an A+++.

Ah, Daphne's life was sensual and supressed. It was more amazing than any fiction that she ever wrote.

@edgarblythe,
Hee, hee. Loved that one by the Jester, edgar. Glad you came through with no hangover, too.

Here's what I did when I found out that the house next door is up for sale again and the agent's name is Tina Turner. Did a brief little dance and sang the first verse to this one.
