Here is Ron Goodwin, from about 1958. I have been searching for this song for about a year.

@edgarblythe,
Great song, edgar, and I have been searching for this mural for an endless amount of time. We'll call this our art piece for the evening. I was calling it Still Born Knowledge, and thanks to fbaezer, found out that it was called Gods of the Modern World.

Don't know if Bob Dylan got his name from Dylan Thomas or not, but this is a lovely classical piece incorporating his Fern Hill.

Life Gets Teejus
Carson Robuson
I used to listen to this when pretty small. About the same time, Tex Ritter was singing about a dog called Old Shorty. I want to find that one.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I thought that James Whitcomb Riley, the Hoosier poet, wrote "Life Get's Teejus, don't it". On halloween we would listen to my daddy read "Little Orphan Annie", and it scared me properly. Loved that song version, Texas.

The song by Tex Ritter was great, especially the part about Will Rogers and Wiley Post. "I never met a man I didn't like".

Don't need a global disclaimer, Reyn, 'cause I ain't really Jethro Tull. Razz , but this is my goodnight song by him.

@Letty,
many, many years ago I wanted to learn to play JT's version of Bouree. I didn't have the sheet music so I played the record over-and-over-and-over-and... until I could play along with him. It's still my favorate.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

JPB, welcome back. Loved your Tull songs, especially Bouree, and the classical guitar piece by Bach was fabulous. The magic of Ian Anderson's flute is wonderful, too. You must tell us what instrument you played.

Ah, how lovely are the trees in autumn, and what a view that must be for you. Not unlike the forests of yellow and red in Virginia. I was just looking at some lovely pictures of the Virginia creeper all crimson and climbing.

edgar, Donald O Conner was a great guy and funny. Love that clip, Texas.

Just in time for the halloween arrival, today is the birthday of Bela Lugosi. I recall him in Ed Wood's Plan Nine from Outer Space. He died before the film was complete.

Here is a tribute to the man from Budapest, Hungary.

A lot of surprises for your PD this afternoon. First I had no idea that Jerry could sing, and he was fabulous, Raggedy. Thanks.

edgar is off cooking, and I checked out the French poet and found this.

@JPB,
JPB, Really enjoyed Tom's Walls, and Jerry Orbach is one great vocalist. Who can sing a menu better than he.

I know that Jerry was Jennifer Gray's dad in Dirty Dancing. That movie was partially filmed at Mountain Lake Resort. Just got through listening to a promo. Sam and Jessica had done the sad story of Frances Farmer and I really wanted to tell them how much I enjoyed the movie, but I decided to allow them their privacy. Mountain Lake is a beautiful retreat. For anyone who is interested, this might be enjoyable.

@JPB,
Love Latin music, JPB. I really miss dancing. That was a great salsa. The beach scenes brings back memories.

Stole this one from Dutchy, and I particularly like the flutes.
