@Rockhead,
Rocky, Welcome back, and I am glad you enjoyed that funny little cartoon. Love John Denver, and everything he sang. I was telling Izzie to create a picture for us of her little boy singing, because I see in my mind my little boy with his rooster tail of hair sitting on his daddy's shoulders. Odd, we lived in "...almost heaven..." at the time.

His song, Matthew, reminds me of that, and although the video is not too clear, this is a great tribute to the man, especially his first song.

Here is a wonderful tribute to dogs in films. I may have blinked and missed it, but I think it missed Tom Hanks' dog from Turner and Hooch.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. I saw that tribute. They missed Turner and Hooch and they missed my Janie who waited for me to come home before she died, just as Argos awaited odysseus' arrival and then passed away.

They also missed this one, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, that's the song that we used to play to make ourselves cry. Sometimes we need a good cry, right"

Anyone remember Boy George?

He's singing about the crying game, y'all.

@Letty,
When I was but a lad in gradeschool, I read Jinks of Jason Valley, out of the school liberry. Jinks and a boy were the best of pals. Well, the ^#&*&#^ author had Jinks die, very late in the story. This was so much a downer to me that I could not enjoy the remaining chapters, and did not rejoice when one of Jinks' pups took her place in the boy's life. I just closed the book and returned it. Had similar reaction to Turner and Hooch.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I know what you mean. I read a story long ago about a German shepherd that was left to mind a baby. The master of the house came home to find the baby gone and the dog covered in blood. He shot the dog and then found the baby, alive and well, under the bed beside a dead wolf. Evil or Very Mad

How about a little classical to the canine family, folks.

@djjd62,
Thank you, edgar. I remember that man doing "The Walking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Blues." Hope I got that right.

dj, that was lovely. Never heard it before, Canada. Thanks for the "...dreams..."

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall close with Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Rock, I think what I like most about Ian is the way he plays the flute. Thanks for the Minstrel in the Gallery and the brief interview. My daughter likes Thick as a Brick. Love it!

edgar, I just looked at that Ike man and he be moving in your direction. You keep us apprised as long as you can. Loved The Eyes of Texas are Upon you. (seems to me I've heard that melody before). Most of us know The Yellow Rose of Texas, methinks, and I still like it.

Well, y'all, today is Harry Connick's birthday and the anniversary of 9/11. Here's one by Harry from When Harry Met Sally.
