@Letty,
Well, Letty, this seems to be one of those evenings that you are slightly out of tune. Nothing from my son nor daughter. either.

Perfect goodnight song, I guess.

I was helping my mother in law this evening.

Well, this guy was said to sound more like Elvis than Elvis.

@Izzie,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

RH, thanks for that Don McLean song. Rather reminded me of "Empty Saddles in the Old Corral", or better still, "Yesterday When I Was Young", by Roy Clark.

edgar, Hey! That guy did sound like Elvis. Thanks, Texas.

Reyn, dear. You are one of the most creative and savvy guys I know. Your collages/montages were one of my favorite experiences here on A2K, radio or otherwise.

Izzie, I find it rewarding to know that your pain gives you so much insight into the plight of others. Same here, gal. Love to you and your godmother.

Well, today is Buddy Holly's birthday, and I find it more than coincidence, folks.

Here's a tribute to him.

This is the one time I saw a live televised performance by Buddy Holly. It was on the Ed Sullivan Show. By this time, I owned several of his 45s (Ting-a-Ling, backed by Blue Days, Black Nights is the only one that remains). He was a great performer, in my book.

@Letty,
Good morning, all.

I've been following all of the political campaigns. It seems that both parties are ready to say this to Bush, and I think this is a great version of this one.

@firefly,
edgar, Thanks you so much for that Buddy Holly song. I have learned to appreciate him since Don Mclean based his entire song on the death of the man. Particularly like, "Oh, Boy"

firefly, Hit the Road, Jack is great. Reminds me of "Fifty Way to Leave Your Lover" by Paul Simon. Wow! The Corries song was beautiful and brought to mind The Jacobites in both France and Scottland. Thomas Paine in his pursuit for equality and freedom about lost his head (literally) to that bunch. What a fabulous writer of propaganda, and how sad that he should come back to America and sink into obscurity.

edgar's song, "Words Don't Come Easy" reminded me of this one by Jim as I was thinking about Santa Tomas e Lucas.

Make me see it in my mind, Izzie. The right words will produce a picture that can never be erased. Remember, dear, the final frontier is the imagination of the human mind.

@Izzie,
Well, folks, I think most of us would like to see our former residence, not to mention our little boys becoming big boys. In my mind I can see my wee Dave sitting on his daddy's shoulders with his rooster tail in the back of his hair sticking straight up. Razz

Here's a little show from Roanoke, Virginia, but I wish I had a similar one of the area around Charlottesville.
