@theollady,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, I am sorry to hear about the death of Keller. I didn't know him, but the song about Seattle was lovely. Hope Hanna lets our skies stay blue.

Theo, everyone should have a spare buggy handy. Razz My word, I just remembered a tongue twister: Indian rubber buggy bumper.

Well, folks, I need to make a correction. It was not Thurber who did the Carnival of Animals with Camille Saint Saens, it was Odgen Nash. Guess we need to listen to one that is so quiet and lovely. Reminds me of Swannanoa in Virginia.

I thought we might enjoy viewing the "latest" RCA Victor albums, in this TV ad from the 1950s.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, edgar. Thanks for the memory, Texas. Always have loved Perry Como.

Today is Keanu Reeves' birthday, so here is one for him, folks. I thought that he was excellent in The Devil's Advocate.

Good Morning.
Very Happy

Enjoyed the Keanu Reeves video, Letty.

Billy Preston was also born on this date (1946-2006) - and I remember this song by Billy that was heard in the background of the movie "O'Hara's Wife" as Ed Asner visited his wife's gravesite. I admit I have to shed a tear everytime I hear it, but it is lovely.

Hope you all have a great day.

@Raggedyaggie,
Good morning, all.

After watching all the turmoil of the hurricane yesterday, I figured we could use some peaceful sounds and images of nature

@firefly,
Good morning, Raggedy and firefly.

Hey, puppy, that Billy Preston song was indeed sad. Thanks for explaining the background, and welcome back.

firefly, Across the Wide Missouri is a favorite of mine, and it reminds me of the river that I used to swim in as a child. Beautiful flute by John Galway and The Shennandoah Valley of Virginia is probably named after the chief.

Here's a Billy Preston song dedicated to Hanna. My family is a bit worried about me as am I.

Without Raggedy, we missed this classical man's birthday yesterday, so here if one from him.

@edgarblythe,
Carol Burnette was one funny lady, edgar. I know that song, Texas, but had no idea who did it. Thanks.

Hey, folks, I like Ike? Not the ones on the heels of Hanna. Here's one that is appropriate for him, methinks, and includes Tina too.

@Letty,
It had been my intent to post Hard Hearted Hannah, by Ray Charles. Couldn't find it.

This is a beautiful song. I don't know who the artist is. I would like to hear it over again by someone like George Strait.

This was probably Jerry Reed's biggest record.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. " Jerry Reed, a singer who appeared in the Smokey and the Bandit movies, has died of complications from emphysema at age 71, his longtime booking agent said Tuesday.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I loved the song about, "If Texas was a Woman."

Wow! I am so sorry about Jerry Reed. I played "When You're Hot You're Hot" and told Raggedy not to watch the risque version. It is great, however.

RIP, Jerry. You gave a lot of people great music. We'll miss you.

You may not remember Jose Cuervo on Abuzz. He appeared briefly on A2K. Miss him, too.

Well, just as you didn't get the right vocalist for Hard Harded Hannah, I messed up as well. I thought for the longest time that The Priest's March" (got the title wrong as well) came from Aida, and what a surprise to find it by this famous classical composer.

My word, folks, it was the eerie song played in Dr. Phibes starring Vincent Price.

Oops, missed you Rocky. I most certainly know that train song. Back later. A wee bit concerned about Hanna.

@Rockhead,
Ah, RH, loved all the Jerry Reed songs. Tried to find Casey Jones, but could not.

Time for me to say goodnight, and although I have done this one before, it seems perfect again.

Don't forget to listen to The War March of the Priests. It is great!

Goodnight from rainy Florida,

and from Letty with love.
