@Raggedyaggie,
Always ready for you, blue puppy. Well, don't we wish we could all live life in a cabaret. Tried it when I was in the music business, but found there was the devil to pay. Razz Love that song, PA, and thanks.

This seems to be appropriate, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning WA2K radio audience.

Rocky, what a lovely evening song. Wild Mountain Honey was perfect, dear, and thank you.

edgar, Paul Simon has many epithets, but Al is by far the best. Thank you for the smile. To a Wild Rose was beautiful, Texas. I know that. It must be another poem set to music.

It seems that the theme for last evening had to do with those things that spring from the earth and flourish without being nurtured. To me, the wild rose is more glorious than the hybrid, folks.

Well, when we have children, we become hostages to their fate, I guess, and Will Smith does a good job of reflecting the feel of it in song.

Good morning WA2K.

Remembering Theodore Dreiser, Samuel Goldwyn and Martha Raye on their day.
Some other August 27 birthday celebs are Tommy Sands, Tuesday Weld, Barbara Bach and Pee Wee Herman --- You will note that these celebs were wished a Happy Birthday a little while ago - August 20 to be precise - You will note also that I am not able to read the dates on a calendar. Rolling Eyes

So, for the August 20 (I think) celebrity I neglected to mention on his day:

@Letty,
Hi, all. Great music today.

We heard from one Neil, and that reminded me of this one.

@firefly,
Hi, firefly, You just added to the great music. Love that one, and here's another by Neil. This song is reputed to be for Caroline Kennedy, y'all.

I forgive you, Letty. Laughing

I admit that I haven't been seeing things too clearly these days, but my hearing is some compensation. Won't you join me?

Do You Know Where You're Going To?

Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that
life is showing you
Where are you going to?
Do you know...?
Do you get
What you're hoping for
When you look behind you
There's no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know...?
Once we were standing still in time
Chasing the fantasies
That filled our minds
You knew how I loved you
But my spirit was free
Laughin' at the questions
That you once asked of me
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that
life is showing you
Where are you going to?
Do you know...?
Now looking back at
all we've planned
We let so many dreams
Just slip through our hands
Why must we wait so long
Before we'll see
How sad the answers
To those questions can be
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that
life is showing you
Where are you going to?
Do you know...?
Do you get
What you're hoping for
When you look behind you
There's no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know...?

@RexRed,
First to our Raggedy:

That was haunting and beautiful, PA. I am not familiar with that young man. Love the lyrics as well. Thank you, blue pup.

Rex, Welcome back. I remember that one, Maine. Love it, and thank you. Do I know where I'm going to? Hell in a hand basket, right? Razz

Speaking of hearing voices, folks, here's one by Muddy Waters.

Jack is still one of my favorite actors.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Great tribute to Woody, Texas. Really like the line, "..come with the dust and gone with the wing..."

Here's another Woody, folks, and it's time to swing.
