@firefly,
Ah, firefly, how long ago I recall Kenny and The Third Edition. He still sounds great to me, and I think that song is more than just about literal gamblers.

Hey, gal. You can always count on The Count and Joe to know. Great, and thanks.

Thinking about Don McLean today so this goes out to RH.

The lyrics to this song are pure poetry, y'all.

@Letty,
I enjoyed the Nocturn very much, Miss Letty. I'm still working my way through the rest of last night's selections -- looking forward to them all but I've no doubt that I'll be listening to Ms Flack for the rest of the morning.

It's great to see Eva here!

Good morning, and thank you for the song to wake up to, Miss Letty.

I'll be back later, I'm not very musical yet.

@Rockhead,
Strange, folks, the calm AFTER the storm is the best way that I can describe the situation right now in my area. Always reminds me of the line "...Oh still small voice of calm.."

JPB, glad you enjoyed the nocturne. Great combination of artists, no? R.H. get your exercise done and come on back, buddy.

Here's a memory for me, all. Fabulous version of this jazz tune .

@Letty,
Hey, Letty, I was just scanning the dial and found your great station. It's going to be my new station on FM button 1. I see firefly's here. Cool.
Oh, what I wanted to say was that KR used to be with The First Edition, not the 3rd, way back when I was young. Thanks.

@Rockhead,
Thanks, Rock. Love that one, but never heard it before. (don't think I have) Damn, y'all. I wish hebba could access the forum. I have all these palm fronds that would make perfect wood sculptures. Coquina rock formations are awesome. Here's a great song, y'all, and it's the closest that I can get to coquina, Rock. er, make that coquina rock.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, it's takes more than love, methinks. Let's listen to what Langston Hughes has to say about America. I love this man.

@OnTheFritz,
OnTheFritz, it's so nice to see you over here. Smile I hope you'll share some music with us. Meanwhile, enjoy listening.

Since you have always been my inspiration in the Acronym game, the title of this one seems apt as a welcome for you

@firefly,
Goodnight, firefly, and I loved your song for On TheFritz. Reminded me of Jim Croce's "I'll Have to Say I Love you in a Song." Your goodnight song was funnneeee.

Heard from John of Virginia, y'all, and he wants to hear this one. We'll do this one for Panz as well, because he explained that the inspiration came from the lady in a black veil that put a flower on Rudolph Valentino's Grave. LeRoi Moore died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident in Albemarle County, Virginia.

Quite a different version than I have heard but we like variety here.

Me go to bed, too.

Goodnight to all,

From Letty with love

@Letty,
Good morning, Letty and WA2K radio audience. Razz

Today is John Lee Hooker's birthday and his song is a product of the great depression. He has a right to sing the blues, methinks.
