edgar, my mom loved The sons of the Pioneers. Thanks for the reminder, Texas. And we all loved both Phil and Bob Wills' tribute.

Well, folks, the first one is by the original Sons of the Pioneers, "Cool Water", but the second one by Marty Robbins because I couldn't find a good video by the sons.

Fata Morgana. <smile>

Here is the magnificent voice of Ed Ames, formerly of The Ames Brothers, formerly Mingo on the Daniel Boone TV series.

Unbelievable, edgar. That man has a better voice now than he did when he was young. Thanks for the echo in time, Texas.

Time for me to say goodnight, folks, and I can't think of a better song than this one. What a talented lady.

Good morning, WA2K listening audience.

Today is Jessica Lange's birthday and I recall watching this movie, Big Fish, as suggested by Cavfancier. I met her and Sam at Mountain Lake.

A wonderful memory of Albert Finney and Jessica

I thought it would be nice to hear the original version of Blueberry Hill this AM. It's a beautiful day already in downtown Tomball. I notice folks have put out hummingbird feeders in anticipation of their arrival.

Letty something different from downunder, a tune called "Treaty" played by "Yothy Yindi", Australia's top Aboriginal Rock Band. Hope you like it, I do.

Thank you, edgar, for the original version of Blueberry Hill.

Dutchy, that was fabulous. It reminded me of the Emerald Forest in Brazil.

I saw that movie some time back, but did NOT know that it was based on a true story. Ah, the invisible people, folks.

Today is our Tai Chi's birthday, all.

http://www.able2know.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3203000#3203000

Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay

Now that we have the birthday girl recognized, we can sit back a see if edgar listened to Big Fish and The Emerald Forest.

I listened to his Stone Age song, but couldn't quite figure out why it was for the deaf. Was it because it played hell with one's timpani? Razz

I think Songs For the Deaf was the album title, letty.

I did listen to the Emarald Forest, just now. It is beautiful. I was grateful they posted the lyrics, because, I have a hard time following them on many songs. The strain of trying to pick out the words can detract from enjoying the total experience for me.

i've been a stranger to a2k lately, but i'm sneakin in with a golden oldie by Bunny Berrigan Cool

"I Can't Get Started"

I've been around the world in a plane
I've settled revolutions in Spain
The North Pole I have charted
But I can't get started with you
And at the golf course I'm under par
Metro-Goldwyn wants me to star
I've got a house and a show place
But can't get no place with you

Cause you're so supreme
lyrics I write of you
Dream, dream, day and night of you
Scheme just for the sight of you
But but what good does it do
I've been consulted by Franklin D.
And Greta Garbo had me to tea
But now I'm broken hearted
Can't get started with you

you're right, edgar. Music is often a gestalt experience.

M.D., Welcome back, and I love that song, big island man. I can hear the melody in my head. Thanks.

Folks, this next song I am dedicating to M.D. and J.M. The reason for this is that J.M. once saved him from drowning and kept track of his diet to promote his continued good health.

First, the YouTube version, then back later with the lyrics.

and now, the lyrics. Imagine, if you will, that Stevie is M.D. and the woman's voice is J.M.

YOU ARE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE (Stevie Wonder)

You Are The Sunshine Of My Life
That's Why I'll Always Stay Around
You Are The Apple Of My Eye
Forever You'll Stay In My Heart

I Feel Like This Is The Beginning
Though I've Loved You For A Million Years
And If I Thought Our Love Was Ending
I'd Find Myself Drowning In My Own Tears

You Are The Sunshine Of My Life
That's Why I'll Always Stay Around
You Are The Apple Of My Eye
Forever You'll Stay In My Heart

You Must Have Known That I Was Lonely
Because You Came To My "RESCUE"
And I Know That This Must Be Heaven
How Could So Much Love Be Inside Of You

You Are The Sunshine Of My Life
That's Why I'll Always Stay Around
You Are The Apple Of My Eye
Forever You'll Stay In My Heart

letty, you said once that you don't really care much for Neil Sedaka. Well, I don't care for such songs as Calendar Girl, but there are two sides to this guy. He does pretty good on Laughter in the Rain.

edgar, there was a time that I didn't like anything but jazz. Then I begin to listen to other music. There is value in everything, and I truly enjoyed Laughter in the Rain, Texas.

This is one of my favorites by Neil, and I think he wrote it because once John Lennon was denied entrance to this country.

Okay. I cleared my computer of all those cookies and temp. internet files; the youtube player works great, now. I had not heard that song by Neil Sedaka before. It's truly a good one.
