I was looking for a German Sunday song and found this. Hildegard Knef was a big star - singer and actress. The song is about things she would like to have or do. Nice!

Letty: Angelica Huston is actor, director, John Huston's daughter -Walter's granddaughter.

Bit of trivia: There are three generations of Oscar winners in the Huston family: Anjelica, her grandfather Walter Huston and her father John Huston. They are the first family to do so, the second family were the Coppolas - Francis Ford Coppola, Sofia Coppola, Nicolas Cage and Carmine Coppola.

edgar, a great song by Harry in honor of MLK. Thanks, Texas, for the reminder of how many risk their lives for a just and famous cause.

Victor, it's nice to have you back again and The Midnight Special is one that I know. Hope you are well, and thank you for Urs in reference to Hildegard.

Just found out that Angelica Huston is the granddaughter of Walter, Raggedy. Rolling Eyes Thanks for the additional info, puppy.

Urs' songs are delightful and the Zapata one is familiar. I share her love for dancing.

Ursula reminded me of Jenny Lind, the Swedish Nightingale, because Stefan was familiar with her, so speaking of dancing, here is a Jenny Lind polka.

For a long time, Trout Fishing in America was one of my son's top favorite singing groups.

Sorry, edgar, but Trout Fishin' didn't play so well, buddy. They must have been using live bait instead of a fly, or it could have been the heavy atmosphere here in my wee studio.

Inspired by Phoenix, I became interested in Robert Greenberg and decided to do this symphony piece by the man who caused him to do a complete lecture, extolling his genius.

I must say goodnight, and I think that I shall do it with some jazz and some country.

First the jazz

Now the country

Good morning, WA2K radio.

I suppose, all, that we could consider our cyber radio as a studio with far away eyes.

Just a reminder. Without feedback, radio whether real or simulated, is faulty and needs renovating.

Today is Jackie Chan's birthday, and this song by him is funny and delightfully enlightening.

My image of Janis Ian for all these years has been the young lady doing Society's Child, in the late 1960s. She is still mighty good, though.

Well, edgar and our silent majority, time for me to say goodnight, and although this doesn't sound much like Ray, it is. According to Willie Nelson, this was Ray's last recording because he was very ill.

How does it feel to live and work in the shadow of a giant? No matter what Freddy Cole does, he is "only" Nat's brother.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7sc1V02dLk

So some would say. I love Freddy's record of Stevie Wonder's For Once in My Life. The first time I heard it, I thought: How could Nat King Cole have done that song? He died before it was written. Then, the radio announcer told us it had been Freddy's voice.
