Like the Twelve Days of Christmas but you count down from 500 ie 500 499 498 ect. hopefully by Christmas. No restriction on subjects could be christmasy love or hate ect.
I'll start with...
500 mince pies warming.
498 horrible fruitcakes recycled from years before and re-gifted.
496 lights on the Chridtmas tree.
495 drivers vying for the last remaining car space. Honk!
494 catalogs on the doorstep
493 reindeers preparing with rudolph...
492 shoppers (including cranky toddlers) in line for the ladies' rest room at the mall.
491 Christmas cards arriving.......
489 ways of saying "merry christmas"!
488 units of alcohol affecting
487 pairs of sweaty feet in the audience of The Messiah
486 pieces of scotch tape on presents
485 postal workers, clutching the spirit of the season.
484 envelopes to be licked
483 burnt-out bulbs on the pre-lit Christmas tree to be replaced
482 versions of Silent Night playing in stores
481 adaptations of "A Christmas Carol."
(Most of them quite painful)
