This is my understanding of U.S.A. time zones.
Atlantic
Eastern
Central
Mountain
Pacific
Yukon
Alaskan
Hawaii / Aleutian
So my question is this, when I watch american TV series JAG why is the time always given as, for example Zulu 14.30 hours.
Zulu is the term given to Greenwich meantime, why would the USA navy in Virginia log their times as Greenwich?
Hey, henry. Where did your bro go? <smile>
Try this link. Great for keeping up:

Great site. Thank you.
Hey, Noddy. I have no idea about military time in Virginia or otherwise, so I gave henry the advantage of checking it out himself.
So glad you're back from New Yawk and had a good time. Gives me some fond memories.

Special for you, I'll mention the glories of having the NYT's on the doorstep every morning. I shamefully neglected "hard news" and gobbled down features unto the second and third page of analysis.
zulu is the standard time that miltary forces use. so that operations dont have to worry about what timezone they are in... having to adjust and what not
