Ok, so it's a tad morbid.

People always ask why I put the bullet hole there. Just to make them remember it of course! If this were just a similing self portrait nobody would take a second look.

Gawd, not that again. :wink:

It's a good 'un, in the "ew, what the &%@! is up with that guy??" sense.

But really, shading, proportions etc. are quite nice. And you're right about memorability...

It was better before I tried to add a grin to it. I was never able to fix it afterward.

Oh, I know exactly how that goes. I actually like the ambiguity, though... Mona Lisa and all that.

There are few things more excruciating than adding a touch to an already-good piece and ruining it. (Although the artist is usually way overstating the "ruining" part.) I've done that too many times to count.

In this case it's not so much that I was being picky. It just doesn't look like me after the tough up.

You've seen the photo I was drawing this from right?

The drawing looks nothing like it anymore.
