Sorry, guys. It's a holiday weekend, so I've had a lot to do. I've still been checking in at least once a day, though.
I just found this thread about an hour ago and also got e-mail from Husker's son. I called the hospital and talked with Husker for quite a long while. I told him what everyone has written here, and he was really touched. His fever was 103, but it has gone down about a degree now. He's very fortunate that he felt this coming on and got to the hospital very fast. He says:
"I don't know what to say, but tell them I'm feeling a little better. They just iced me down. I had one IV tech who messed up my arm really good today, but I told them not to send him back in here again. The next person they sent did a really good job. My energy level is kind of up and down right now. My leg is a little swollen, but not nearly as bad as before."
If anyone else wants to call him while he's in the hospital, just "PM" me and I'll give you the phone number.
Just saw this, hope you are feeling better Husker.
I hope your battle with this leg and the infection is over soon. it must be truly tiresome to keep going back and forth with your health.
