oh my gosh. I'm not even there and I'm peeing in my pants!

Ever girl's dream to be there the day she airs her "Favorite Things"

Everyone in the audience are teachers and they thought they came to Oprah to talk about education.

Joahaeyo- Don't want to "rain on your parade", but did you know that those gifts are considered straight income at retail price for income tax purposes?

I know, 'cause I once won a bunch of stuff on a quiz show. I sold most of it!

I think I know what you're saying (not too hip w/that stuff since I've only had to deal with EZ forms), but I remember threads about that before but I think it falls under something else and/or Oprah works it out the best possible plan to make it easier for these folks.

I didn't really read what someone wrote about it, but I do remember someone saying regarding that. I have no idea though. Sad

She also pays for all the shipping of the gifts.

those women that won the cars a while ago. Someone did a followup and found out that most of the women were devastated about having to pay tax and tags. A bunc sold theirs and still had tax on the dough.

I won a cake one time. Didn't have to pay any tax.

Just took it home and ate it.

I hate it when farmerman posts so close to me. He looks so much more distinguished. I think it might cause me to lose credibility.

Sorry to add another dark-mooded post, but what would get me a Christmassy feeling is if these people would simply get to be paid properly for the work they do.

Teachers should be paid a fair wage comparable to the value of their work.

It's a pet peeve of mine when people define the value of something as what people are willing to pay for it.

In which sports stars are THE most important people.

If I were Zuess hisself, I would take money from athletes and pay it off to people that actually work for a living.

I'd be a RobinHood-like Zuess.

There's a term for that. Someone who knows the price of every thing and the value of nothing - or do I have it backwards..... hmm, well, never mind.

Oh, YEAH! I forgot.

Gus, I saw a friend of mine on some other forum, and his avatar was exactly the same as yours. I accused him of it, and told him the picture belonged to you, and he got real quite, and then suddenly became angry and deffensive as I pressed the issue.

I didn't know what to do, so I thought it best to inform you, and then you'd know how to handle it... or at least have some further instructions on what I should do.

? Sad

Find the servers and destroy them. Find the 'friend' and gently coax him into a trash-compactor.

Friends don't let other friends look like idiots on the Internet.

What if your friends already look like idiots?
