Hi,
I am looking for any information on a Picasso lithograph entitled Die Taube. The background is dark with the dove in the foreground. It was created for the 1949 Peace Conference in Paris. The lithograph is supposedly signed?
I bought it because I loved it, but I'm curious if it is worth more or less than what I paid for it.
Thank you very much,
Kim
Apparently he did several of these sorts of things. Here's a link
(

to one he did for the 1961 World Congress For General Disarmament and Peace with it's asking price listed.
Things like this are heavily dependent on the quality of the litho, it's current condition, etc.. so the only way to know for sure is to get several authorative appraisals.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I like the dove that you provided a link to, but ours is a bit different. It's on the top of the page of this link (well, the original is).
I haven't seen the print in person, the quality looks good, but who knows (we're dorks and will like it even if it looks "old"

. I bought it for sentimental reasons, but wanted to know how to tell if it is a thing of value, and how you can tell if a signature is real or a stamp.
THanks for your time,
Kim
