Do you think Lacey would let her sleep early, Msolga? Nisse probably would go to sleep early too - just to wake me up in the middle of the night.

You hit the nail on the head, Ursula. If I even tried to go to sleep any earlier than 9 p.m., Lacey would have a kiniption fit.

I neglected to say earlier how she woke me up ~ with a 'love-bite' on my elbow. Soon as she realised my eyes were open (from shock), she was right next to my face, purring away and rubbing her forehead into my cheek..... Rolling Eyes

Funny thing is, yesterday I slept right through my alarm.....the first thing I asked Lacey this morning was 'where were you yesterday?'.

lol.....Cheeky critter, indeed!

In my little dream-world, I'm going to believe that she's doing this to spend more time with me because she knows I'll be gone all day.

I love coming home the best.....She's usually on the porch at that time and when she hears my voice, she comes running at full speed ~ straight into my room, fully expecting me to follow her.....Ahhhhhhhh......love......ain't it grand?

Zoey has thankfully changed from the younger kittenness that made her awake me by licking my eyelids...Shocked
thank goodness
However, it is now nibbling on whatever part of my body she can until my eyes open in which she gets in my face.
This, I believe is true love.
Okay, so maybe its her hunger pains...
still though...
I agree with you....
yours is in a good loving place now, enjoy her! Even if it does include love bites, its just lovely.

I hate to tell you this, but feel you should be warned: THEY NEVER GROW OUT OF THE BITING/NIBBLING HABIT!!!!

My darling grey cat (around 12 years old now) used to be so cute when he was little & gave me small aftectionate nibbles. But he still does it now, from time to time. OUCH! Shocked He will be purring away, enjoying being patted, then crunch!
I'm certain he's showing affection, but hey, I wish he'd think of another way!

I'm not so sure that every bite is a lovebite, msolga.... Like it often happens here with nisse! He lies on my lap, we're watching telly, getting a light tummyrub, and WHACK! I've got fangs, claws and whatchamacallits in my wrist, that's not love, that's freakin' mean!!!

He's driving us nuckin' futs some of the time, but mostly he's very cuddly.

Mysan, his adorable little sister is quite the opposite. She just walks away when she's had enough... strange kats!

At the moment, I have Mysan sitting on the desk - falling asleep. And Nisse sits in front of our dressing room door and complains and complains. Now he looks straight up and complains. He loves to do that when I'm trying to sleep. When he was a little kitten he didn't talk at all...

Urs, Paddy loves to sit in my computer chair, sometimes I wonder if it's because he feels I pay more attention to the computer than to him!

Right now I'm trying to get him to sit under my feet, since I've grown used to it.. however he wants to sit/lay between the hallway and my computer so he can watch for Lacey .... how fickle?

well, at least I know Im not alone with the nibbling thing Smile

Zoey does do the nibble, then bite but, her bite is more like a grasp and run when it involves my hand so, I think shes just really saying..hello...havent I woken you up yet, now come with me!
Cleo on the other hand....ms. scaredycat herself makes me giggle when she bites cuz she immediately starts kissing...kind of like hey, thats not a good spot OPPPS not that I meant to bite you really.

Zoey thinks the computer chair is an amusement ride...the things she does on it are amazing...including tearing it apart.

Hiya quinn ~ sounds like your kitties love you very much.

Lacey hasn't shown any signs of wanting to nibble.....although she will get my finger in her mouth to put just enough pressure on it so that I'll stay and keep petting her..... Laughing
