There was a Hollywood film actor from the 40s/ 50s called Walter Pigeon.

Hence, the nickname for many a pet bird became "Walter".

My little turtle dove

- no, that was W C Fields.

Re the Move: I can imagine being tired of some of their singles if one lived in the UK at the time, but I still play my copy of "Shazam". Brilliant stuff, especially their tripped-out versions of "The Last Thing on My Mind" and "Don't Make My Baby Blue".

Must be heard to be believed, and the band as superheroes on the cover is wonderful, too...

Well, it's probably exclusive, all right, but he's not unique. He has great taste, though!

Alone Very Happy (Some of my music doesn't amuse Mrs. Walter very much when it is on the player .... and played too loud.)

So know what you mean - Mr Sarah doesn't take kindly to some (not all) my music....Have rediscovered Cosby, Stills and Nash, Don Maclean and TRex....and a touch of The Darkness. this week I have been mostly listenning to Sitting in the Park by Georgie Fame...I'm loving it. Have you got napster?

How many Satanists does it take to change a lightbulb?

None! Let The Darkness reign!

(of course you have to say the last line in a deep, menacing, 'Christopher Lee in The Wicker Man type' voice Evil or Very Mad

Graham Nash- Hollies- Bus Stop- very good.

I liked that Carl thing from The Move. Good singer.

What about (before Sarah's time?) Wayne Fontana from The Mindbenders? He could sing.

Bobby Darin, I liked him. I remember the big hit from 1962 "Things". A certain time in my young life- happy daze. I think Bobby had more chutzpah than Bruce Springsteen.

I shall certainly go & see the biopic. Be nice to see these mohair Italian suits again.

Why hello cavfancier, you veteren you, thought you were at that secret party with the other 'usual AK2 suspects'. The night (up to now) seemed to belong to the just hatched, newbies, enthusiasts in training (oh the thrill) and the odd seasand member! You know the party I mean, wish I was big enough to come! Bet it's like a cross between a Caligulan orgy and that poster for 'Reefer Madness'. Oh you elitist bunch!

Or maybe your just bored with me, should I come off now you know I is a mentalist. Damn! and I've just found my husband watching porn and wanted some advice. Knew I should have destroyed those tapes...but a girl can't live by chocolate alone Crying or Very sad

Speaking of Darin, yesterday the NY Times had a long feature on a film that Kevin Spacey is starring in all about the late singer. Spacey, apparently, does a dead-on imitation of Darin. It will be titled, you guessed it, "Beyond the Sea".
