Is there a comma missing?

I read the sentence below:

"To give some context John is the only person who has provided a prompt response and would be identifiable as the intended recipient without using his name."

Should there be a comma after the word "context"? I believe the sentence starts with a dependent clause.

Many thanks

A colon would be better.
