Have no fear Mathos, the mine is in the driest State of the driest Continent on earth. Rainfall is about 5mm per year!

You may be interested to know they are building a city for 20 to 30.000 people there in the middle of the desert, with a water desalination plant being build on the coast, and a pipeline conveying fresh water to the town.
How is it powered? One imagines by solar power, but is it?

What does signed off mean?
Here it referred to the signing of contracts between the Government and Private Contractors.
That means it's going ahead? Only the word 'off' implies it's no longer happening.
You forget we live down under where everything is up side down including important contracts. Yes it must go ahead as the town is being build and thousands of residents are already living there. Google "Roxby Down solar powered" and read all about.
