Yeah, but why does it have to look pretty much exactly like a pulled tooth?

@Glennn,
It's honesty in design. If you eat too much, you might lose some teeth to tooth decay and other health related issues. Wink

@kickycan,
re-reading the whole thread and find this

Ooh, your mention of caramels made me remember my all-time favorite candy. Those caramel creme thingies? Is that what you are talking about? They have a caramel outside and then the sweetest plug of white creamy sugar right in the center? Oh my god, now I have to go out and get some of those damn things as soon as possible!

had these for the first time last night

pretty tasty
even 3 or 4 years after their sell-by date

(I bought them as they came in a tiny tin suitcase)

I stayed in a rental house earlier this week and there was a dish of candy corn on the table. I did partake.

Different hazards over here a house down my road had a lit firework put through the letterbox.

There was damage to the hallway and door, but nobody was injured, but they want to move out.

I don’t blame them.

I don’t know the motivation, this is a very cosmopolitan neighbourhood with a lot of students.

Um...? Um...? Are you associating candy corn with hooliganism? Or should we assume you mispost this reply to the wrong thread? This thread is about Halloween ... specifically candy corn.

@tsarstepan,
No, I’m associating Halloween with Autumn festivals.

Halloween isn’t as big over here as Bonfire Night on 5th November, hence fireworks being on sale.

@izzythepush,
But this is a very specific candy thread more than an autumn traditions thread which made your double digression even more confusing without its initial context.

@roger,
I don't like candy corn, too much sugar.....gives me a headache. If I may be so bold as to ask a question? Anybody else get headaches eating a lot of sugar, like in candy corn or those disgusting peeps?

@glitterbag,
I can eat an entire large Snickers w/peanut butter with no problem.

Fair point.

Nope. When it comes to a physiological reaction to too much sugar, for me it only happens when I drank a large Dunkin Donuts iced coffee. And that never was a headache. It was the overcaffeinated shakes (throughout my entire body), a jittery stomach/nauseousness, and an excessive sense of anxiety. Which is why I no longer drink iced coffee from anywhere larger than a medium.

@tsarstepan,
By the way, spontaneous combustion has been a big problem with aging candy corn.
