At this point I'm slim enough and have no interest in going slimmer. Some primo pastry is welcome every so often, for the hell of it.

Of course, I hate to waste this energy on poor pastry. Bring me the good stuff.

So different from my childhood corner store with a penny candy counter.. that was small and something like eight blocks away across a big street. Sigh.
