If an extension cord gets damaged and goes bad. Does that mean every device connected to it gets affected?

@dalehileman,
So if my iPhone is connected to the extension cord and the extension cord goes bad. My iPhone will also go bad?

@Kevinthomas,
That depends, Kev, on how it goes bad. There are a dozen or so different ways it could fail. For instance the ground might open, whereupon you'd notice no diff at all until you electrocuted yourself
