I have a 98 Pontiac Grand Am Se. Im noticing that when i turn on my ignition switch to turn on the car it doesnt seem to start until i turn it on again and give it a pump on the gas pedal it will start. Whats the problem?

Turn they key on ... but dont start it.... give it about 10 seconds until u start it. This allows the electronic systems in the car to get up and get goin, whch in turn supplies the fuel to the spark.... and there u have it... a started car
