Just seen movie Lion , sure I have seen it before , is it a remake ?

Not likely to be a remake. It is based on the book by Saroo Brierley,
A Long Way Home, which was first published in 2013.
It is really good. Very interesting and moving.

Seen it twice in the movie theater already. One can compare it to Slumdog Millionaire (aesthetic wise) but other than that? It's only an adaptation of the already mentioned nonfiction book.
