When John Nance Garner was vice president under Franklin Delano Roosevelt he opposed some of FDR's policies (e.g., enlarging the Supreme Court and union sit-down strikes).
Have any other V.P.'s opposed their president(s)?
Thomas Jefferson served under John Adams.
They were from different parties.
So we're Lincoln and Johnson (a Democrat).
I watched a documentary that said Reagan and Bush belonged to different factions within their party. Reagan ended up appointing a lot of Bush's picks to his cabinet.
