I have error message every time i turn on the computer.
"error loading TWEAKUI.CPL"
Don't know what to do.
will somebody help me?
thanks
Go to Start/Run
In Run type regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
Click the yellow folder of Run
On the right hand side of the screen see if the following entry exists:
"Tweak UI"="RUNDLL32.EXE TWEAKUI.CPL,TweakMeUp"
Highlight and delete this entry if it exists.
Then Navigate on the left hand side of the screen to the this key as well:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunServices
Click the yellow folder on RunServices
On the right hand side of the screen see if the following entry exists:
"Tweak UI"="RUNDLL32.EXE TWEAKUI.CPL,TweakLogon"
If it exists, highlight and delete this entry too.
Close the Registry and reboot the system. When the system comes back up your problem should be gone.
@fenisga,
I followed instruction but could not find: RunServices as noted. I had several folders with "run" but no "run services" Thoughts?

@sammarcus,
this thread is 6 years old. Your OP is probably XP. There's been a lot of changes.
Check out this site
http://www.file.net/process/tweakui.cpl.html
Thanks - This worked (also no 'RunServices' but if this isn't in the registry then no need to bother about it)
The Control Panel TweakUI (i.e. tweakui.cpl) is quite out of date, although still valid for Win98 - replaced by TweakUI.exe downloadable from Microsoft for XP.
