Could easily be sorted. Delete any account inactive for over a year.

I'd say that would trim it down to about 2 to 3 hundred.

I wonder how many are these 800.000 are the one post ad bots or that crazy game crowd. (the swarm).

Here's mine: Make a list of departing members who were bringing good value to the site. Email them a simple questionnaire about what their experience was on the site, the + and -, why they left, where they left to, and ask for recommendations on how to improve a2k and retain members better. Analyse, publish and discuss here.
