Hi, I want to add an electrical outlet/plug on my ceiling to accommodate a home theatre projector. I need to run wiring between the ceiling joists from my mechanical room which has a perfect run to where I need to put the plug. The possible problem is that in the run is also a heating duct. Is there a problem running romex between joists in which there is also a heating duct running down it as well?

@Oilers ,
Is the duct the full width of the space between joists? If not, how wide is the gap between the duct and the joist?
