General Tsao please don't feel disenfranchised, I am just trying
to make it correct. Plus I think we will have plenty of disenfranchised
people in this country after Nov. 2 no matter which party you belong to.

Does it count that Leo Tolstoy's name in Russian is Lev, which, in Russian, does mean 'lion'? That should help his cause somewhat, I feel he is being discriminated against, poor old man.

Mako is a good one Coluber 2001. (I remember him from Conan) I had always thought that Mako had to have Shark after it but the dictionary says... mako n : powerful mackerel shark of the Atlantic and Pacific [syn: mako shark].

sorry dagmarka but Leo was tried and was found to be foreign when the dictionary had shown the word to be latin for lion. this time the dictionary has shown lev to be Bulgarian for lion (surprisingly not russian) but rules state only words defined in dictionary as not another language other than english.

The fact that after 4 pages there hasn't been a single mention of one of my role models, the legendary Mad Dog Vachon, has caused me great distress. Let us, at this time, add the great one to the list....

sorry gustavratzenhofer but Mad Dog is in neither online dictionary nor in any thesaurus so I cannot accept it. I guess mad dog is more of a medical condition than an animal Laughing

Marten De Vos—16th and 17th century Flemish painter. A marten is an animal in the weasel family and is similar to a fisher.

Buck Henry(actor-director)

Since we're on the subject of deer, Fawn Hall. She was Oliver North's secretary, the one who shredded his documents. She had her fifteen minutes of notoriety if not exactly fame.

Buffalo Bill. I'm not proud of this one.

Kit Carson. The dictionary says that kit is synonymous with kitten. Of course we already have Kitty Kelly.

Benyamin offered a very weak argument and at the same time riased the ire of Ratzenhofer when he wrote:

This isn't over, Benyamin.

Gus: Unless the first name is Maddog, it wouldn't work anyway. Dog appears to be the middle name. Now, there's a catfish called madtom. If you could find a wrestler or somebody to fit that, I'm sure Ben would consider it. I looked up gus in the dictionary, but alas, there's no animal called a gus. Too bad; it would be so appropriate.

Newt Gingrich. I can't believe I'm the first to think of that one.
