Mac, Who is Fisher Stevens?

I knew he was not exactly famous, which is why I gave you the link. He's an actor, but not a famous one.

Does "Ladybird Johnson" count? Ladybird is what some call a ladybug, I believe.

nice try SCoates but Queen is not an animal name

now if it was Queen Bee Latifah then it work. Laughing

A queen is not an animal? I'd like to see that hold up in court. You must be using a different language than me, and translating poorly.

You don't need to be so defensive SCoates! If your going to give an obscure name for an animal you should put what type of animal.
now most people have heard of Queen Bees or Queen Ants (which won't work in this game unless someone is named Queen Bee. Now I did look it up in the dictionary and found that Queen is sometimes used for a female cat that is used for breeding. So it is acceptable but something tells me you may not have known that. If you had put the type of animal there would have been no problem. Anyway I apologize

No need to apologize, Ben. I think SCoates was being a little testy...Besides, I have to admit that I wondered what kind of animal a queen is, myself...

General tsao, Ladybird (another name for a ladybug) Johnson does'nt work because Lady Bird Johnson splits her name.

D'Artagnan came up with 2 obscure people but they work as I was able to
look them up in baseball and basketball websites, Doggy Julian and Birdie tebbetts.

Coluber 2001 gave 3 good ones Molly Ringwald (I used to have a molly in my fish tank) now since I accepted Queen I guess that Jack and Jenny works also (donkey owners just call the animals jacks or jennies never donkeys)oh Jack is also a fish.

Mac 11 made a lot of good ones and some that won't work
Fisher Stevens works (a weasel)and I remember him from that tv show about the newspaper from the future). Brittany Murphy (changed from Brittany Spears on 10/30/04 (there is a famous Brittany just not Brittany Spears))(a dog)at first I though it always came with Spaniel after it but I looked it up and since 1982 they dropped the spaniel so another good one. Bobcat goldwaith is good also. so is Chick corea and seal I guess works too even though I don't know if that is his first name or last Laughing
but I am afraid rex won't work because I couldn't find any place where rex was used by itself as it is always listed as cornish rex, devon rex etc. (plus it wasn't in the dictionary like queen , jack and jenny were).
same goes with the ridley turtle it is always called either a kemp's ridley sea turtle or a olive ridley sea turtle or just plain ridley sea turtle.

Ben: You gave credit for Jenny, Jack, and Molly to Mac instead of myself.

Also, I disagree on Ladybird. I thought of that one myself but decided against it since LBJ's widow splits up the word in two, i.e., Lady Bird. Bird is apparently her middle name. At any rate, the beetle is never under any circumstances broken up into two words. It's ladybird beetle or ladybug.

A jack is also a fish, actually a number of species are given that name usually with an attatchment, such as jack crevalle.

I recognized the picture of Fisher Stevens. He was in the TV show "Early Edition."

Here's a questionable one. Leo Tolstoy. Leo is Latin for lion, but do we want to get into Latin names or any foreign names?

Sorry Coluber 2001 I got mixed up on the credits but they are fixed now.

You are partially correct about the General Tsao's Lady Bird Johnson.
there is in the dictionary ladybird by itself with syn. ladybug and ladybird beetle but I did have to remove Lady Bird Johnson because you are indeed correct about the space between Lady and Bird which I did not check on. Sorry General Tsao.

Also regarding leo one of the first rules was english only (works if it is in an english dictionary and meaning lion and doesn't have the word latin after it. It is in dictionary meaning lion but it did have latin after it so not english. (now the constellation leo (the lion) doesn't have latin after it but it's not an animal) Smile

I have been using dictionary.com as my source and it has been very good but if you have find that my source doesn't include your word and that you have a dictionary that does just let me know and I will check it out.

Very Good Mac 11. I will now have to include merriam-webster.com
in my sources since dictionary.com did not include the rabbit or cat reference that merriam's did. anyway I put Rex Harrison back on the list.
thanks Mac 11
