I need help please! Getting weird result between light switch and wall outlets. I removed an old ceiling light fixture to replace the ceiling light. Photos of fixture and wiring:

Then another wire in the ceiling going to the other side of each of the 3 bulbs. The wiring was like this:
http://imgur.com/a/Lilxt I understand in older houses there are "jumper" wires that continue to the outlets in the wall within the ceiling "junction area". This is how I wired the new fixture:

If I have a tv plugged in and try to turn it on, the ceiling light flashes but tv does not turn on. If I have the light switch on: the outlets produce no voltage, not even to charge the old smartphone. Is this simply me switching the positive and negative wires accidentally? Or was that bundle of 4 wires coming into the ceiling actually 2 pairs of 2 and it was too hard to tell when I unwrapped the 100-year-old insulation. Please help?
