Yes bluxx, that was a good one, a real sleeper. I think someone mentioned it earlier. There is a Lantana in Florida - before I found out anything about the film I thought maybe it was set there. But couldn't imagine why anyone would do that. I was right. Rolling Eyes

Do you mean the political situation in The Year Of Living Dangerously? Yes, it certainly was! Resulted in a purge of Sukarno's supporters - a bloodbath of mammoth proportions. This by the way, was supported by the CIA, who saw Sukarno as dangerous (Communist sympathies).
The film revolved around a group of international journalists, covering the last months & days before the fall of Sukarno. This period became known as "the year of living dangerously" in Indonesea.
