Hey, good point.
Thank you, Pennsylvania voters!
Is that with all votes in?
Wait, I can check that myself of course..
<returns>
Those numbers seem old, Walter. These are the vote totals on CNN now for the Montana race:
Tester DEM
195,235 49%
Burns REP
(Incumbent)
193,506 48%
Jones LBT
10,181 3%
So less than 2,000 votes difference... do absentee ballots still need to be counted, does anyone know?

Got them seconds before posting from that official website as the unofficial result

Well, but CNN has some 30,000 votes more for both candidates...
MSNBC (on web) reports breaking news
Webb 49&
Allen 48%
How old is this, does anyone know?
According to the pundits, elections with over 2,000 votes will have little effect on the final number by recounts. However, it seems what they are now considering are those votes that have not been counted, because the voter was not "registered" or on the voter registration at the polling place. This situation is different than recounts, so it's better not to assume anything until they have finished.
CNN numbers were last updated at 11:09 AM EST. They have Webb at 1,170,708 (50%) and Allen at 1,162,576 (49%) with 99% of the precincts reporting.

I think they gave the dems at least 4 house seats too.
Virginia posts their resilts on line too.

Good link. What is surprising about the electino in VA is the simple fact that most congressional districts have been won by republicans. Interesting.

CNN confirms your report, Mr. Mountie, but only in a banner headline--no article. Do you have a link?
Rummy has been dilusional too, and something about king George and the neocons may finally learn what Americans want.
Wikipedia is all over this one. This is from their bio page of the Defense Secretary, Robert Gates:
Dr. Robert Michael Gates (born September 25, 1943) is the 22nd and current United States Secretary of Defense. His term of office began Novermber 8th, 2006 under President George W. Bush.

very sorry we didn't connect last night.
S'OK, Mr. Mountie . . . i was up past my bedtime as it was . . .
I was also watching the election results, and finally hit the sack after 12-midnight (PST) when I learned that the senate races in Montana and VA were not final. I still went to sleep "happy." We no longer have a rubber-stamp congress.
