Does the bluetooth-speaker send bluetooth-radiation out while it is in the pairing-mode?

Hello everybody,
I am a owner of the highly recommended Bluetooth-Speaker ADX Pulse v4i.
You can also connect your mp3-player or smartphone with the ADX Pulse v4i by using a 3,5mm-Jack. But all the time, while the Speaker and Smartphone are connected with a 3,5mm-Jack, the ADX Pulse is in bluetooth-pairing-mode (blinking LED).
Now I want to know, whether the ADX Pulse is sending bluetooth-radiation out while it is in the pairing-mode or not! Or does all the bluetooth-radiation only come from the Smartphone? For example the WiFi-radiation comes only from the router and not from the Computer.
