Which movies scared the bejesus out of you when you were a child

For me the most scary mv. was Alien. True classic

Here's one that I just remembered. 'Wait Until Dark' 1967 with Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin. Hepburn plays a blind woman who has to fend off 3 thugs in her apartment....very tense.

Well, I wasn’t a kid when I saw these, but they definitely gave me chills...
The Others - 2001
The Sixth Sense - 1999

Both movies were very creepy. 'The Others' kept me guessing and confused ...... but the 'Sixth Sense' wow....it wasn't until the ring slipped off Bruce Willis's finger that everything became clear. I'm a tad embarrassed I didn't figure it out....I've watched soooooo many movies.
