Movie about an ancient creature with unlimited powers

Movie about a creature from ancient times with unlimited powers that can only be granted as long as you agree with him. The creature was convincing the king to sign a pact to slave the kingdom but a wizard saved him at the last minute. Then the creature is unleashed in modern times and start causing chaos with twisted wishes. I think there were 3 movies about this. I can't remember the movie title.
