@jespah,
Saving Private Big
Harrowing WW2 comedy. Josh Baskin, a ten year old kid in 1940s America, is jealous of the older boys being drafted to lend their services to the European theatre of World War 2 and thereby getting a lot of attention from girls before they face almost certain slaughter on a rainswept beach somewhere in northern France. When a funfair comes to town, little Josh makes a wish at a fortune telling machine: He wants to be big.
Hilarity ensues as the now physically adult but mentally juvenile Captain Josh Baskin (Tom Hanks) is given command of a small group of men to face the might of the Nazi war machine as they search for the last surviving member of a family decimated by the conflict.
Can a man with the brain of ten year old unite his grizzled soldiers, charge Omaha Beach and hold a bridge from a crack German Panzer division? Will Josh learn that, despite the poontang, being an adult is not all it's cracked up to be? One thing's for sure, the scene where he plays chopsticks on a bombed out piano in a village square unde fire from a sniper will have you rolling in the aisles!
