Is this grammatically correct?
"We’re men trying to be the best version of ourselves possible."
"We're men trying to be the best versions of ourselves possible" would mean that we are trying to be different kinds of people, correct? ...not good.
@redviking,
Red it sounds fine depending on context
@redviking,
I read the first sentence as referring to the men as a group, whereas I read the second sentence as referring to the men as individuals.
I didn't read the second sentence to mean that the men are trying to be different kinds of people.
@InfraBlue,
Quote:... first sentence ... the men as a group...,
Yea Infra, as if they're all striving to be alike
Quote:I didn't read the second sentence to mean that the men are trying to be different kinds of people
I didn't either but we sure could couldn't we

Different in ways other than the best versions of themselves possible? No.
That the best versions of themselves possible could differ among them is readable, but that's not the first thing that came to mind when I first read the sentence.
