but, but, but Duke. I started an entire thread based on your admonition and you never even said, Hi, Let. Hurt my feelings. Smile

What if I sing you a lullabye that my mom sang to me. Will that make it all better? Yikes! I misspelled lullabye.

The bunny and I got into a discussion about 'realpolitik' on another thread, we understood each other, but while browsing, I came across this message board that really made me appreciate A2K, and should be inspiration enough for Duke to stick around, if only because it should piss him off enough to comment: http://realpolitik.us/ Things you always wanted to know about America but were afraid to ask comes to mind.

I must confess I'm not enjoying A2K as much lately, either. I keep looking for new threads, something a wee bit different, & keep finding the inevitable porn pros & cons, endless threads on Bush/Kerry stuff - leaving not the smallest of small detail unturned, etc, etc. The same people, locked into the same positions. .... the same stuff, daily.
Maybe a break is in order for me, I don't know. Actually, I've logged on most days to post on the Oz election thread, which might bore most of you silly, but obsesses me! Sometimes I seem to post to myself, for days, weeks! Laughing

But I've appreciated feedback & contributions on threads that I've instigated, on everything from cartooning, a crisis in a friendship, cooking with a chinese steamer, etc .. A2Kers can be very thoughtful, informed & sensitive, depending on the issue. And I love finding a thread that's very involving & watching the to & fro of comments, interractions, differences, agreements, diversions ...

However, I'm disappointed that that a thread like Missing in A2K Action takes SO LONG to be reinstated. I've contacted the moderators about it a number of times ... but, still it's missing. What is happening to A2K members is important to me & I miss that avenue of enquiry/information. In the absence of PMs, I have no idea of what has happened to some posters I care about. I understand the difficulty & challenge of moderation on a site like this one, but how long does it take to resolve issues & restore a commonly used thread like "Missing ..."?

OK, my 2 bob's worth ... just venting & supplying some feedback ... nothing serious like "goodbye". Smile .. Just a bit angsty. Smile

I doubt that it is sooooo difficult to create a new thread like that one.

Besides, and honestly, I think that everybody has got the opurtunity of good old fashioned emails or even older telephones or antique snailmail, if one is concerned.

Oh, yes, not knowing addresses etc: well, why weren't they exchanged then

Heyonyx. Where have you been?

I hear ya msolga. As I said, start a new Missing 2

Some time back, I started a thread about "Ways to Kill a Thread". That was from my viewpoint, of course, but I still think it's true.

Perhaps if we would try and post something in several categories, it would also help. Many times we all tend to be too clannish, I think.

Walter got carried away, didn't he? Razz
