Thanks! We're leaving today actually, from JFK at 6:30 pm ET. Eventually we'll land in Christchurch NZ - about 30 hours travel all totaled.. We've got a really Short layover in LA, then a short one in Sydney Australia, then at the final spot.

Staying near Christchurch at a friend's vineyard, house sitting and dog sitting for 3 weeks then another 8-9 weeks there before we head to South Africa.m, where we'll meet up with my gf's relatives, do a safari in Kruger NP. and a trip to Angel Falls.

Prior to this, The furthest I've traveled is either LA or Vancouver BC. whichever was further from Boston. I'm over the moon at this. My dog, however is not so thrilled. She's being taken care of by a friend in Sarasota for the 3 months we'll be gone.

Bad coaching cost me the lead...

Ahhhh, Sydney! not that I've been there, but have read a fair amount.

Long flight, eh?

Yeah , it was 14 hours from LAX abut smooth as silk. First time ever flying with me Business class. No crying babies in business class. Qantas Air is lovely service.

We won't get to see any of Sydney at this point in time as our connection to Auckland is in a few hours. we will see some of Australia after we finish with NZ

Lounge has showers so We freshened up. Glad I could shave. I almost look human again.

More picks later in the week as long as signal is good from the place where well be staying in NZ. It's Wed at 10:30 am here now.

Will be watching rugby matches in NZ at some point , so I'm told.
