The very fIrst of my selections for this week I'll do now. The rest will be sent over the next day or so. Not following too closely as my time is limited online. Not seen a single NFL game either. That'll change soon, though.

Week 3

Thursday Night game
NE Pats. (Shocking, huh.)

When Vegas says it's a "pick" I take the home team.

It will be interesting to see who QB's tonight.

(This is also a test of the thumb's down squad. I want to know if they frequent sports threads.)

@George,
I don't recall ever being thumbed down on this thread and I get lots of those.

@edgarblythe,
Maybe threads like this are seen as a "neutral zone".

Pats leading 10 -0 at the half.

My g/f (non-fan of grid-iron football) feels all happy because she cheered for the Pats and they listened and responded.

@ossobucotemp,
Describing where Maxine's lived, she was raised in South Africa 'til around age 21, then lived in LA....eventually making it over to Westchester, NY.

Then she moved overseas, prior to 4 years ago, where she lived in NZ for 16 yr. We're going to visit NZ in a few months for 2 full months. I'm over-the-moon about this, as I've mentioned.

She knows about NFL but prefers ML baseball. She is quite a wise woman to root for the Pats. No coercion was needed.

@Ragman,
I didn't know she had lived in LA. Hey, hey! (any general area? not to be nosy, I don't mean to poke, but we could have been sort of nearby for a bit. Or never mind, all that is long ago.

@ossobucotemp,
No problem...and it's not prying. I think her time frame in LaLa was from '72 or '74 to around '80. I'll verify that and where she lived in LA tomorrow.

@Ragman,
That's when I last worked in the medical world. Also when my mother got Alzheimers full force. When I first met Hans (still well regarded). And then when I met John, still well regarded. Somewhere in there, we had an art gallery and theater.

I'll be quiet now.

I haven't paid attention to the game.
