What happened to the Question Forum option?

See above. It's apparently been removed from the a2k/Forum homepage. I know it still exists if you drop all the way to the bottom of the page in the Quick links which makes me think you guys are in the plan of phasing out the option for discussion threads only.

I like giving out Red Ribbons. It's my Lockean Natural Right to give out Red Ribbons arbitrarily to the silliest answers for my mostest inaniest questions.

@tsarstepan,
I just took a look and the ribbons seem to have disappeared. This should make you feel oodles of something, including happiness as change occurs. Remsmber, change is good Even when it hoits.

@Sturgis,
I just tried asking a sample question from the bottom of the page ... we'll see ... if anyone answers I can try to give them a ribbon ...

It's not much but hey... I can't imagine it was that much of a burden for the programmers to keep when pushing the next evolutionary stage of the forum.

It seems that it still sort of exists in a weird way.

As seen in this thread from ehBeth: www.able2know.com/topic/338312

A ribbon can be given but it shows only in that thread, the cumulative ribbon count which used to appear on the profile page has been removed.

@ehBeth,
Very odd. I don't have that showing on the page when I view it.

And do something about the 'facial furnishings' while you're at it.

@roger,
Region's enlarging of Sturgis' avatar makes me again wonder who the avatar person is. Unless of course it is Sturgis, but that isn't how I picture him... quite.

What's even odder ... your link sends me to the homepage, not to ehBeth's question page which I remember posting in a couple of days ago.

I always assumed it was a Civil War general for the Union Army. Even thought I read that somewhere. But according to a Google Image search:
It's Russian novelist, Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

It's Dostoevsky. Until just past a year ago I had an uncanny resemblance to him. Then I got daring and disposed of the top hair opting for a cool shaved head (hair was thinning anyway, I just sped up the process), still maintaining the shaved top, kept the facial whiskers... Keeps the face warm in the winter and the beard tucks into the sweater or shirt top to act as a scarf.

I somewhat regret the comment, though I was sure it wasn't really you.
