Help Identifying Artist of Munich School Painting

Any thoughts on an attribution for this 'turn of the century' oil on canvas most probably painted by a student of the 'Munich School', very ala Frans Hals? Reminds me a lot of works by Frank Duveneck with its loose brushstrokes and induced craquelure, but the difficult to read signature top left doesn't look anything like Duveneck's. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

@artguyara,
I recall a painting by Duveneck of Charles Darwin as a young man. Other than that I think its a cool expression filled painting. Id hng it up .
Most of the art we see here on A2k is of the "refrigerator" school.

@farmerman,
Thanks for the reply, and yes, I must concur, most of the postings on this site tend to be worthless (one man's opinion) refrigerator of sofa art. I was hoping there might actually be some art 'experts' perusing this site that may have insights into this work, but alas I may have been mistaken.

I think its more 1920's. It may be a political theme.
