Help with Artist Identification...oil? on canvas, landscape, rockies?

Found this oil? on canvas at the local thrift store today...Hope someone might be able to help with the artist L. S???? Thanks for any input!!!

Sorry to say, but this looks like it would be categorized under 'sofa art', essentially mass produced commercial art sold through various department stores in the 70's/80's. I highly doubt you'll discover much about the artist unfortunately.

But some of that sofa art approaches a $1,000. The sofa art I bought for $400 went six years later for over $600 to a dealer, it looked a lot like the one posted.

The forty year old $50 piece of over sofa seascape of my grand-mother's went for $1,600 at auction.

The frame doesn't help it but the "guts" of this painting are very well done. The painting is done in a 'painterly' like fashion. It'll never be hung in a museum but it is a very nice piece of decorator art. Its got to be worth $300 - $400. A more appropriate frame might increase the value another $200 - $300.
