Im also kinda attached to Norton AV, but I have a relatively old version of it.
Let's face it NAV is not very good with spyware, Im considering a newer version of NAV, if its spyware detection rate is considerably improved, ofcource you need other programs like spybuster and ad-aware.. long live ad-aware! Smile

Well, in general I can agree with hihp.
But actually that's no more to give advice to the usually user, rather already similar to a AV-flamewar.
The conculsion should be named as: Each to their own.

Of course right now I can't find it, but a while ago there was a test by (yes, I know) a German computer magazine, and even though AntiVir didn't score in the top, it was a pretty good middle.

Was it c't?

In 2003, my computer had gotten a virus and at the time, I didn't have enough money to buy Norton or the other virus repair software. I found AntiVir and not only did it clean up my computer it has kept it free for over a year. I like it but I also had gotten the Norton Firewall free for a year so that helped too. I didn't renew the subscription in May so I don't have the firewall anymore. Laughing
