Touched By An Angel

I just got through watching some of the last episodes of "Touched By An Angel" Tess is in a nursing home with altzheimers. My question is, since Tess is an angel sent here by God, how can she be in a nursing home with Alzheimer's ?

God is looking down right now, tears running down his face, and he pokes St. Peter in the ribs and says, "Hey, check out what I did to Tess."

Both God and St. Peter start laughing like a couple of hyenas.
