That's nothing. I could be the boss of the whole goddam outfit if I wanted.

@Tes yeux noirs,
I'm sure you could...if you wanted

I, for one, am the boss of my whole goddamned outfit, and I have an IQ of 156.

@Finn dAbuzz,
FYI, high IQ is not all that's cracked up to be. Do a little bit of research; you might learn something important.

I'm the one who left my iq test to go get a soda (faster friend), skipped the last page. I got accepted in good schools, and so what, I knew how to apply.

I do despise all the rampant assumption that others are "out to lunch" by virtue of the lives they have lived through.. It seems hard to fix and a lot of people are trying to help.

I'm smart enough to know that there is no point in mentioning that I have an IQ of 156.5

@Glennn,
There is a statistics that shows a college grad mean IQ to be 115. I think I'm average. I'm happy with that.

@cicerone imposter,
I, too, am happy enough with my IQ. And as I've already said, there isn't any point in me mentioning how high it is. If I thought that my 156.5 IQ was germane to a discussion I may find myself involved in, then sure, I'd go ahead and mention my 156.5 IQ. But so far, there hasn't been any reason to bring up my 156.5 IQ.

I'm just joking. I actually have no idea what my IQ is. But I suspect that it's really, really up there. Razz

@Glennn,
Me too, except for this and that and the other matters.

I do remember that the nuns didn't tell us, but did somehow let us know that a certain student turned out to be a genius (this was 1959; this was something of a surprise to the rest of us, but probably made her day.

@Glennn,
I'm not so sure about that.

First of all I don't actually know what my IQ is. I do know it's high, for reasons I won't go into, but it's immaterial what it is.

My personal experience is that being tagged with a "High IQ" caused me more problems during my early days than it ever provided benefits.

My personal experience in my adult life is that my willingness to work hard and excel was an equal, if not superior, characteristic to my intelligence

There are plenty of people with high IQs that most of us would consider "failures" in life. A test result isn't a guarantee of anything.

I just love when clowns enter these threads and comment on one post without reading the entire thread.

This, in and of itself isn't a problem unless the clown chooses to try and insult someone but can't be bothered with considering the context of that person's comments.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I don't think my IQ is that high, but I have worked in management for over 80% of my working career. I was promoted to E4 in the USAF after 18 months when it usually takes 26 months.

@cicerone imposter,
My point exactly.

It doesn't matter what your IQ is, it matters what you do with your intelligence.

@Finn dAbuzz,
My post was in jest. Even the part about me thinking that my IQ must be really really up there.
