Despite extensive surfing cannot find anything for Q's 23& 49.Any hints welcome,can hint at others in return if required.

See Sophocles above 'Question 49. The Oldest Classic horse race, many many years ago.' A good clue {hopefully!}. Why is the penny not dropping re 9? Any clues/hints to swop appreciated.

I still have a number of gaps, but will persevere with most of them. Would appreciate a clue for 29 (haven't been to the cinema for about 40 years) and 37, for which I'm thinking cricket scores but it doesn't seem to be this season's matches.

Q9 - use universal anagram solver and that should put you in the right direction. Could use some help with Q50 - fed up reading nursery rhymes!!

re# 9: what would you first think of , connected to the name you've found in the anagram? try googling that with Robin Ray.

I take it most have found the answers to Questions 10 and 23! After extensive googling I have found these particularly hard to find!

I haven't got 23, and have no proof of my answer for 10; just the only PM whose father seems to have been any sort of a teacher.

Ditto re 10 & 23. Thanks for tip on Robin Ray, now resolved. Funny I hadn't spotted it before when googling, cheers! No 18 is also problematic?!

Many thanks for your hint although my first thought was a spoonerism for a Welsh lady!! Re: Q10 if your answer involves publishing you are right - I have an excellence reference book about Prime Ministers.

Q29 look at the cast list of Cocoon - one leading actor has a brother - compare their careers in IMD.
Q37 - my answer has nothing to do with cricket but I may well be wrong.
